It takes many
precise operations to fashion the joinery in a traditional case
or cabinet such as this. This case contains over 200 parts. Those
pictured here illustrate many different joins: sliding dovetails,
tenons, tongues and grooves, and miters. At this stage the nose
pieces in the foreground have also already been shaped with a
gentle rounded profile. |
